Police on Monday charged Mark Sedor, 52, of the 20th block of Southeast Broadway Street, with felony possession of cocaine after he was stopped for riding a bicycle without a headlight.
During the 11:46 p.m. stop, an officer gave Sedor a warning about the headlight. Sedor then gave the officer permission to search him. That's when the officer found a plastic bag with the white powder (cocaine).
"What is that?" Sedor asked after the officer showed him the substance.
The powder tested positive for cocaine, the report states.
Later, Sedor told the officer that a friend gave him the cocaine to help him sleep, the report states.
As of Tuesday, Sedor was being held at the Martin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
