NDLEA:Arrested Venezuelans excrete 124 wraps of oily cocaine

NDLEA -National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, yesterday, said the two Venezuelans,  arrested on Tuesday at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos,  had excreted 70 and 54 wraps of oily cocaine.
In a statement, NDLEA spokesperson, Mr Mitchell Ofoyeju, said the two suspects were arrested for ingesting 124 wraps of liquid cocaine, noting that the substance, weighing 3.3kg, was poured into male condoms before it was ingested by the suspects.
He said: “The two suspects, who  claimed to reside in Venezuela for many years, arrived from Venezuela to Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, using emergency travel certificates.
“The 43-year-old, who claimed to reside in Venezuela for 10 years, said a Venezuelan, who gave him the drug, told him that it will be difficult for the scanning machine to detect ingested liquid cocaine and promised him a reward of $6,000 (about N930,000).’
“The 32-year-old suspect, who also claimed to be an English teacher at Language School in Venezuela, said he was promised a reward of N4 million,” the statement added.
